NASCAR Viewing Essentials

People who are Nascar followers will probably tune into a couple races on tv once and a while.  Those who are true Nascar worshipers won’t just watch the races on the tv, they will commonly attend races on the real track.  Being at a real event is genuinely exciting, and can last for almost three hours, so you should definitely come prepared.  There are lots of things that a race follower should bring to the events to make the Nascar experience the most enjoyable, but there are a select few items that bacially every race enthusiast may agree on.

one of the more essential accessories to bring to the races is food and drinks.  A small cooler can prove extremely handy if you are thinking about bringing your own snacks and drinks, as it will contain all of your refreshments, and will lay right between the metal bleachers.  Three hours can seem like an extremely long time if you are hungry or thirsty and do not want to fork over $5 for a water bottle.  This being said, if you are not bringing refreshments, be sure to bring some money to use on refreshments and apparel.

If you have ever attended a Nascar event, you have most likely seen the countless hats and t-shirts that are worn by Nascar enthusiasts to support their favorite driver or team.  Nascar apparel is one thing that just about all fans brings to the races, and it not only shows your support for your favorite driver, it also lets people know that you are a true fan.  Sunglasses are a very necessary item because they guard your eyes against the sun’s rays and glare that might come off of the cars.  One think-ahead item that is highly recommended is an umbrella or rain coat, because sometimes you can never know when rain is coming.

Metal benches are great for seating a large amount of people easily, but definitely are not the most luxurious seats in the world.  Seat cushions can be rented right at the race, or if you have one of your own, go ahead and bring it!  Also, in the hotter and brighter months, it can really pay off to bring some sun block.  There’s nothing worse than arriving at home to uncover that you now look like a lobster, so better safe than sorry.

It can also be a major bummer if you miss your favorite driver making a sweet move to take the lead.  To stay in on the driving action, there are a couple items that can be used.  A scanner can be used while tailgating, driving, or just to hear the announcers better at events!  Scanners let you in on all of the action, whether you are on and off the track.  To catch those sweet moves and memorable moments, a high quality camera can be useful.  If you are just trying to see the race up close and personal, a high quality set of binoculars can come in handy.  I would recommend Nikon Action 8x40mm binoculars and other cameras offered by Nikon for optics because of the pure quality.  Now that you have you checklist of Nascar essentials, go out and catch some of the action!
